About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to the successful development of avionics components for Lunar Vehicles
  • Work with a team of engineers to define, test, and certify avionics hardware
  • Engage in hardware build, integration, and test of Engineering Development Unit (EDU) and flight hardware
  • Develop product requirements, define interfaces, and support hardware build
  • Implement verification and qualification strategies
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop mitigation plans for hardware failures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or other related field
  • Avionics hardware build and test experience
  • Complex hardware design experience in product design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
  • Knowledge of / experience in requirements development and requirements-based verification
  • Familiarity with integrated systems verification, including developing hardware verification test plans and verification test reports for certification / qualification
  • Master of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related fields is preferred
  • 6+ years of proven track record in design, development, or test of space industry avionics components and systems is preferred
  • Experience developing digital, analog, and / or mixed-signal circuit board designs for avionics systems
  • Experience in circuit analysis and simulation, such as worst-case circuit analysis, signal integrity analysis, and logic or P-Spice simulation is preferred
  • Experience with MIL-STD/DO-160/SMC-S-016 environmental qualification testing of avionics hardware is preferred
