About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code in languages like Java, Python, and Typescript
  • Craft and build web interfaces in React
  • Design system architecture and participate in design reviews
  • Evaluate, integrate, and extend existing products using GraphQL and REST web services
  • Work with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Implement containerization and orchestration technologies via services like git, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, who are located across all of Blue Origin's main sites
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of tools, processes, and experiments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of proven experience writing software and deploying it to a production environment
  • Strong proficiency in coding languages such as Typescript, Python, and Java
  • Demonstrated understanding of deploying web interfaces using React or similar frameworks
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and cross-team collaboration, with the ability to work with and communicate complex systems to a varying user base.
