About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the integrated systems point of contact and subject matter expert for a Lunar operation
Define and own the mission plan, concept of operations, and design reference mission(s)
Define vehicle requirements and external interfaces
Identify, handle, and mitigate risks
Define and lead execution of the verification and validation plan
Identify and track key performance metrics
Define and carry out a technical review plan
Facilitate design reviews and meetings within Blue and with NASA customer
Organize engineering support to provide an integrated solution at the mission level
Leadership of the mission timeline and activity development for the phase

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. in Aerospace, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related technical subject area
Firm grasp of the principles, concepts, and methods of systems engineering
Knowledge of space vehicles, reentry vehicles, propulsion systems, and spacecraft systems development
Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
10+ years of experience in aerospace systems development, with 5+ of those years in aerospace hardware development or complex integrated operations
M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical subject area
Experience with software tools such as Jama, Cameo, MATLAB/Simulink, Confluence, JIRA, Git, Creo, and Windchill.
