About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, analyze, and test avionics enclosures for electronic components on various spacecrafts
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to design PCB systems, support electronics development
- Conduct trade studies and create associated technical data packages
- Perform thermal and structural analyses and validate requirements through various methods
- Create engineering detail and assembly drawings
- Manage product configuration through its lifecycle
- Support test planning and execution.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electro-mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related technical subject area
- 2+ years of experience with design of electro-mechanical avionics assemblies (level commensurate on experience)
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E preferred)
- Experience with GD&T implementation and analysis (ASME Y14.5)
- Experience designing ruggedized electronics enclosures or similar high-performance hardware.
- Experience in PCBA integration (ECAD/MCAD), connector selection and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with PCB related IPC standards, SMC-S-016 and MIL-STD-810.
- Ability to communicate analysis results effectively.
