About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the design of new infrastructure and buildings under the supervision of a licensed engineer
- Assist in the production of design and construction documents, including mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design alignment with project goals and objectives
- Conduct research and provide support for mechanical design solutions and concepts
- Prepare and review mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy and compliance with project standards
- Support the coordination of project schedules, budgets, and resources
- Stay informed of industry trends, technologies, and advancements to contribute to project innovation
- Prepare for and pursue a Professional Engineering license after gaining the required experience
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on best practices and design principles
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices
- Proficiency in mechanical engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced engineering technologies (preferred)
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles and practices (preferred)
- Previous internship or work experience in a mechanical engineering firm (preferred)
