About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct trade studies and estimates in support of proposals for external facing customer technical projects
  • Work closely with the engineering design team, mission management, launch operations, and launch systems groups
  • Act as a point of contact between the NG engineering team and mission integration for various launch contracts
  • Interface with payload customers to evaluate mission unique requirements and ensure compliance
  • Integration of customer requirements and development of mission Interface Control Documents
  • Ensure payload system requirement validation and implementation
  • Manage requests from multiple complex projects and teams
  • Ensure regulatory requirements, such as FAA/ITAR/Range, have been met
  • Lead spacecraft integration and launch contracts ensuring Blue Origin commitments are met on time, on budget, and with success
  • Develop resource-loaded mission Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and coordinate progress

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. in an aerospace, mechanical, or systems engineering-related field
  • 8+ years of complex product development experience
  • 5+ years managing complex, multi-disciplinary, fast-paced, aerospace projects
  • 10+ years industry experience in launch system or satellite operations
  • Active Top Secret clearance & SCI Eligibility, or ability to obtain final clearances
  • Ability to travel within U.S. and abroad
  • Collaborative, constructive, and concise communicator
