Key responsibilities & impact

Own structural analysis from requirements definition through qualification
Develop, maintain, execute, and validate finite element models (FEM)
Perform structural assessments for environments including quasi-static and inertial loads
Create and review stress reports and certification artifacts
Partner with manufacturing and test to define test requirements
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to improving team standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering, or related field (M.S. preferred)
8+ years of professional experience performing structural/stress analysis for spacecraft, aircraft, or similarly rigorous hardware
Strong proficiency with FEM development and structural analysis methods
Experience with one or more of the following analysis software: Patran/Nastran, Ansys, Femap, Abaqus, Hyperworks, LS-Dyna
Experience creating and modifying geometry in CAD programs (preferably Creo)
Experience producing clear technical documentation and presenting results at design reviews
