About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for system integrated structural modeling for rotating equipment, power unit and axisymmetric models
  • Contribute to the design and development of rocket engine turbo pumps and assemblies
  • Develop and maintain design component requirements and documentation
  • Contribute to detailed trade studies that result in selecting optimal mission-suitable subsystem hardware
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with the system components
  • Continuously update knowledge on latest industry trends and advancements in space vehicle systems
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary engineering teams, contributing to a culture of technical ambition and operational excellence
  • Contribute to technical artifacts for subsystem and program gated reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, etc.)
  • Maintain an unwavering commitment to learning and improvement, willingly seeking and integrating feedback for personal and team growth.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in space systems
  • Experience working in cross-disciplinary engineering teams
  • A track record of taking ownership, showing resilience in the face of challenges, and consistently delivering results
  • A history of facing challenges with tenacity and resilience, showing an optimistic and determined attitude
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred)
  • Experience working in aerospace (preferred)
  • Experience with LabVIEW and Matlab (preferred)
