About the role
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers (Electrical, Mechanical, Test, Systems, Software, Firmware) to develop an electrical power system
- Provide guidance and support for the team, in a hands on role, as they work on many power electronics projects (batteries, power converters, motor controllers, power management and distribution)
- Ensure project completion is on schedule and within budget while meeting all system requirements
Requirements
- 3+ years of engineering management
- 10+ years of recent power electronics or power systems development for hardware used in harsh or space environments
- B.S. degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or an appropriate engineering field
- Strong understanding and experience with the product development life cycle
- Desire to work hands-on, as part of a team, in both development and production phases of a product lifecycle
- Experience with batteries, power electronics, or power systems
- Experience with fault tolerant and high reliability systems
