About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers (Electrical, Mechanical, Test, Systems, Software, Firmware) to develop an electrical power system
  • Provide guidance and support for the team, in a hands on role, as they work on many power electronics projects (batteries, power converters, motor controllers, power management and distribution)
  • Ensure project completion is on schedule and within budget while meeting all system requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of engineering management
  • 10+ years of recent power electronics or power systems development for hardware used in harsh or space environments
  • B.S. degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or an appropriate engineering field
  • Strong understanding and experience with the product development life cycle
  • Desire to work hands-on, as part of a team, in both development and production phases of a product lifecycle
  • Experience with batteries, power electronics, or power systems
  • Experience with fault tolerant and high reliability systems
