About the role

  • Responsible for thermal components from conception through development, testing, and integration.
  • Support internal or external development of thermal components.
  • Collaborate closely with the thermal analysis group within the Lunar Thermal Integrated Product Team.
  • Work with subsystem specifications, mission environments, and design and construction standards.
  • Produce outputs including component specifications, test plans, test execution reports, and test reports.
  • Develop short-term and long-term development plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent on-the-job experience in the spacecraft design industry
  • 3-5 years of relevant Thermal Engineering experience
  • Understanding of thermal fundamentals
  • Demonstrated experience building and testing hardware
  • Understanding of aerospace hardware verification and validation process
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships.
