About the role
- Responsible for thermal components from conception through development, testing, and integration.
- Support internal or external development of thermal components.
- Collaborate closely with the thermal analysis group within the Lunar Thermal Integrated Product Team.
- Work with subsystem specifications, mission environments, and design and construction standards.
- Produce outputs including component specifications, test plans, test execution reports, and test reports.
- Develop short-term and long-term development plans.
Requirements
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent on-the-job experience in the spacecraft design industry
- 3-5 years of relevant Thermal Engineering experience
- Understanding of thermal fundamentals
- Demonstrated experience building and testing hardware
- Understanding of aerospace hardware verification and validation process
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships.
