About the role
- Lead a design team through hardware design cycles
- Advise on design, analysis, qualification, testing, manufacturing, and integration activities
- Drive solutions forward and resolve problems
- Take ownership of hardware lifecycle from requirements definition to launch vehicle integration
- Design, analyze, develop, and test structural components
- Provide technical guidance and on-site support for manufacturing
Requirements
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering
- 10+ years of experience with spacecraft, launch vehicle, or aircraft structures
- Experience on spacecraft, launch vehicles, or aircraft vehicles in load path distribution, separation systems, and material selection
- Understanding of core DFX principles influencing structural development
- Strong understanding of composite and metallic design fundamentals
- Experience with Model Based Definition (MBD) engineering processes
- Familiarity with CAD (Creo/Windchill preferred), hand calculations, and FEA (ANSYS preferred) tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
