About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct fluids analysis to define the performance and operations for various spaceflight systems
Define hardware requirements and resolve technical challenges
Take ownership or support analysis tasks of a complex fluid system by conducting 1D-3D fluids analysis
Contribute to product life cycle process from early conceptual design through completion of the flight mission
Responsible for documentation and maintenance of analysis inputs, models, and presenting results to stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Minimum of five years of relevant experience is required
Strong understanding of thermal and fluid mechanics with relevant experience preferably in aerospace industry
Experience with one or more fluid or thermal modeling tools is required (e.g., Flow3D, CFD++, ANSYS Fluent, SINDA/FLUINT, Thermal Desktop, MATLAB/Simulink or other commercial codes)
Experience with modeling propulsion/cryogenic fluids management (storage, transfer, phase change,...) (preferred qualification)
Experience with Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT (preferred qualification)
Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) (preferred qualification)
Knowledge of other tools including MATLAB, Simulink, Amesim (preferred qualification)
Active/passive Thermal/Pressure Control System/component design (preferred qualification)
