About the role

  • Translate focus area or division strategy into actionable, measurable initiative plans with clear objectives, timelines, financials, and outcomes
  • Execute and continuously improve comprehensive program charters, roadmaps, and governance structures that ensure accountability & strategic alignment
  • Co-lead the end-to-end execution of focus area or division transformation initiatives that advance our strategy, operational effectiveness and member experience
  • Implement and coach teams on governance structures, frameworks, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making effectiveness
  • Manage cross-functional execution ensuring timely delivery and desired outcomes to improve affordability, customer experience, efficiency, and culture evolution
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure transformation progress and impact in close partnership with initiative stakeholders and leaders
  • Serve as a trusted partner to initiative leaders translating initiative vision into actionable projects – ideation, prioritization, planning, delivery and value realization
  • Facilitate alignment cross-functionally; anticipate friction points and broker solutions that maintain momentum
  • Deliver clear, compelling communication materials for senior audiences, including ongoing status reporting, dashboards and presentations
  • Apply analytical rigor to assess focus area or division performance, uncover root causes and quantify impact
  • Proactively identify initiative & project level risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement
  • Adopt the enterprise change management strategy and roadmap to the transformation programs, in tight collaboration with human resources and other key stakeholders
  • Co-lead comprehensive management plans for the transformation programs with stakeholder assessment, impact analysis, and tailored change activities
  • Implement the change network of informal leaders to support the change management progress for the transformation programs
  • Partner with communication teams to execute compelling communication plans to articulate the vision, progress, and impact of operational and transformation efforts
  • Build a reputation as a change agent and drive demand for change throughout the enterprise

Requirements

  • Executive presence and strong ability to influence, challenge and align senior leadership
  • Highly degree of skill in program management with a strong ability to pivot between strategic vision and tactical execution
  • Skills in building trust, embracing diverse perspectives and influencing alignment cross-functionally
  • Systems thinking – see both the big picture & the interdependencies
  • Passion for continuous improvement, innovation and enabling meaningful business change
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, highly complex business transformation initiatives that lead to real impact to revenue, medical cost, operational expenses and member experience
  • Experience in the development and implementation of individual and team level coaching support associated with strategic value and outcome-driven roadmap development
  • Experience with portfolio planning, value realization and business case development
  • High emotional intelligence, adaptability and comfort with the complexity of transformation and enterprise change
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with experience briefing senior-level committees
  • 5+ years of business transformation management experience, with at least 5 years managing large, cross-functional business initiatives
  • Experience in health care, payer, insurance consulting or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred
  • Domain-level experience in Claims, Service, Health & Medical Management or Sales is strongly preferred
  • High school degree or equivalent required unless otherwise noted above
