About the role
- Translate enterprise strategy into actionable, measurable transformation program plans with clear objectives, timelines, financials, and outcomes
- Develop & maintain comprehensive program charters, roadmaps that ensure accountability & strategic alignment
- Lead the end-to-end execution of enterprise-wide transformation programs that advance our corporate strategy, operational effectiveness and member experience
- Develop and implement transformation governance structures, frameworks, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making effectiveness
- Create & lead execution for cross-functional initiatives ensuring timely delivery and desired outcomes to improve affordability, customer experience, efficiency, and culture evolution
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure transformation progress and impact in close partnership with cross-functional leadership and executive stakeholders
- Serve as a trusted partner to executive-level leaders throughout transformation programs – ideation, prioritization, planning, delivery and value realization
- Orchestrate alignment cross-functionally; anticipate friction points and broker solutions that maintain momentum
- Deliver clear, compelling communication materials for executive audiences, including ongoing status reporting, dashboards and board-ready presentations
- Apply analytical rigor to assess enterprise performance, uncover root causes and quantify potential impact of proposed solutions
- Ensure transformation program(s) deliver business outcomes and benefits realization, resulting in strategic value for BCBSMA
- Proactively identify transformation program risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement
- Drive continuous improvement & foster a fail-fast mentality for transformation to ensure solutions are positioned to optimize value realization and can pivot when necessary
- Co-create the enterprise-wide change management strategy and roadmap, in tight collaboration with human resources and other key stakeholders
- Develop comprehensive management plans for the transformation programs with stakeholder assessment, impact analysis, and tailored change activities to cultivate commitments to changes with clear ownership and accountability
- Create the vision, roadmap and activation for a change network of informal leaders to support the change management progress for the transformation programs
- Partner with communication teams to craft compelling communication plans articulating the vision, progress, and impact of operational and transformation efforts
- Build a reputation as a change agent and drive demand for change throughout the enterprise
Requirements
- Executive presence and strong ability to influence, challenge and align C-Suite leadership
- Mastery of transformation program management with a strong ability to pivot between strategic vision and tactical execution as needed
- Proven track record of building trust, embracing diverse perspectives and influencing alignment cross-functionally to deliver on the greater good for the enterprise
- Systems thinking – you see both the big picture & the interdependencies
- Passion for continuous improvement, innovation and enabling meaningful business change
- Proven experience standing up large-scale, highly complex business transformation initiatives that lead to real impact to revenue, medical costs, operational expenses and member experience
- Highly experienced in the development and implementation of individual and team level coaching support associated with strategic value and outcome-driven roadmap development
- Expertise in portfolio planning, value realization and business case development
- High emotional intelligence, adaptability and comfort with the complexity of transformation and enterprise change
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with experience briefing executive-level committees and boards
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- MBA or relevant advanced degree or experience strongly preferred
- 10+ years of business transformation management experience, with at least 10 years managing large, cross functional business initiatives
- Proven success in managing large-scale, multi-year business transformation programs in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment
- Relevant experiences in healthcare, payer, insurance, consulting or other highly regulated industries is required
