About the role
- Participating and assisting in strategic sourcing projects and activities
- Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to define specifications and requirements
- Conducting market research, data collection and analysis
- Developing/drafting/reviewing contractual documents and supporting contract negotiations
- Managing several sourcing projects and contracts simultaneously with excellent project and time management skills
- Supporting category/contract management efforts and tracking contract progress and utilization
- Preparing reports, written materials, presentations and performing analysis to support assigned categories
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders through meetings, webinars, and presentations
- Reviewing engagement requests, collaborating on requirements and recommending alternate suppliers
- Conducting price analysis, synthesizing data, identifying trends/opportunities and making recommendations
- Supporting bid processes and assessing suppliers' responses to make recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
- 4+ Years experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Procurement or any related function
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work/categories and projects
- Ability to build strategic relationships with various stakeholders
- Effective contract negotiations skills leading to optimal contracts
- Ability to structure, develop and enhance contractual documents including, but not limited to: Master Service agreements, Work Orders, Amendments
- Address problems quickly and effectively using factual data, possess situational flexibility and can identify the necessary resources for efficient resolution of issues, driving to results
- Working knowledge of purchasing/sourcing processes including sourcing tools and applications
- Ability to function in ambiguous and time sensitive situations
- Create reports, analysis and project management plans
- Clear, concise, and confident interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) - ISM
