About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in the maintenance of medical policy related to coding changes and analysis
Provide ongoing technical support and configuration in the claims system
Assist the Health Policy Research lead with Medical Policy research and development
Coordinate and ensure completion of quality assurance and user testing of coding change configurations
Collaborate with internal HealthRules configuration teams and share best practices for claims processing
Identify system problems and open tickets in HE to resolve issues as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in nursing
3 years clinical practice experience in a healthcare setting
3 years experience with medical coding
Familiarity with ICD-10 codes, CPT, HCPCS and Correct Coding Initiative (CCI)
Experience with claims and benefit technology functions
Proficiency in Microsoft Business Applications, including Excel and Word
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification (preferred)
Experience within the Health Insurance Industry (preferred)
