About the role
- Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical implementation and product distribution
- Evaluates program success against financial, operational, and clinical goals and proposes initiatives and changes to meet goals
- Provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning information
- Assist in identification and selection of benefit programs and available vendors
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams in the development and implementation of new product and market initiatives
- Establish relationships with key partners/vendors and conduct due diligence reviews and analysis as needed
- External relationship management regarding working sessions, escalations, learnings and action planning for indicated services
- Direct strategic planning of assigned product line, including short and long-term blueprints for market share, revenue growth and net profit
- Assist in the development of pricing strategies and marketing campaigns for assigned product line
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to market changes and the ability to develop and implement contingency plans
- Monitor and report on Key Regulatory or Legislative activity regarding assigned product line
- Reviews and ensures vendor compliance with SLAs
- Develop and/or participate in the development of regulatory submissions and audits for third-party vendors as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, health administration, economics or related field
- Three (3) years of product management experience in a healthcare, insurance or financial services industry or related field
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement
- The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments
- The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in insurance, healthcare, or financial service industry
- Group health product and program development experience
