About the role
- Administer and maintain servers, networks, and other IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Install, configure, and update software and hardware components for systems.
- Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Ensure system security by implementing best practices for firewalls, antivirus software, backups, and user access controls.
- Provide technical support for users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Perform system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
- Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring proper access control and security compliance.
- Collaborate with IT teams to plan and implement software and system upgrades or enhancements.
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and other relevant information for team use.
- Assist with network management, ensuring seamless connectivity across the organization.
- Respond to system alerts and perform root cause analysis on issues to prevent recurrence.
- Manage cloud-based infrastructure and services (if applicable), ensuring integration with on-premises systems.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree or completion of a Computer Science Program from a Technical Trade School preferred
- Technical training with certification in assigned technology is required as applicable
- Minimum of two years’ experience in I.T. and/or application development required for Infrastructure Administrator
- Minimum of five years’ experience in I.T. and/or application development required for System Administrator
- Minimum of eight years’ experience in I.T. and/or application development required for Senior System Administrator
- Build, maintain, and optimize Okta Workflows and inline hooks to automate identity lifecycle events, access provisioning, and integration-related processes
- Proficient in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
