About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in developing and executing manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track software bugs using tools like Jira.
- Work with QA Lead and developers to validate end-user workflows, bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Contribute to test plans, documentation, and QA process improvement initiatives.
- Learn and use testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or similar and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
- Participate in agile sprints and ensure high test coverage for new and existing features.
- Support accessibility, security, and performance testing best practices
- Help incorporate AI tools into QA workflows for test automation or bug detection.
- Define and own QA strategy and test planning for assigned projects or features.
- Ensure proper QA workflows are in place to avoid gaps and missed issues.
- Apply risk-based testing to prioritize coverage and testing effort.
- Act as a quality gate, knowing when to escalate or hand off tasks to other roles.
- Execute and interpret results correctly from database queries, logs and metrics.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or completion of a QA or software testing bootcamp.
- Proven experience as a Senior QA Engineer, with ownership over quality strategy and execution, not only test automation.
- Strong QA mindset, with the ability to balance manual testing, exploratory testing, and automation.
- Experience mentoring or guiding other QAs, or acting as a reference point for quality-related decisions.
- Basic understanding of testing principles and familiarity with QA tools such as Jira, Selenium, TestRail, Playwright, or Postman.
- Strong attention to detail, investigative skills, and a methodical approach to testing and documentation.
- Ability to write clear and concise bug reports and reproduce issues accurately.
- Willingness to learn automated testing frameworks and grow in the QA engineering career path.
- Excitement about working in digital health and building solutions that make a difference.
- Curious mindset and interest in mastering AI tools to enhance QA processes.
