About the role
- Reporting to the Sr. Product Marketing Manager, the Assistant Marketing Manager will be a creative self-starter excited by the idea of working in digital publishing and building a brand within the K-12 education market.
- Contribute to the execution of the marketing plan for Bloomsbury Digital Resources with ownership of a suite of databases within the portfolio.
- Help support the expansion of the brand in the K-12 and higher education markets.
- Help drive usage and awareness within schools, libraries, and two- and four-year colleges.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the global integrated marketing activity for assigned products.
- Develop marketing materials and plans for the library and academic conferences attended throughout the year.
- Act as a group point of contact for the sales teams and help with lead generation for product launches and sales campaigns.
- Liaise with other departments, especially Sales, Product Management, Product Development, and Editorial, ensuring open and effective communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of professional marketing experience
- A self-starter with a proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and the imagination to conceive plans and promotions that excite and engage educators and the students they serve.
- A confident, creative, collaborative person with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
- A flexible team player who is always prepared to participate in a new project and build relationships with colleagues around the globe.
- Intermediate to advanced experience creating email templates and scheduling and deploying campaigns through Mailchimp or similar email platforms.
- Intermediate to advanced experience creating and posting social media content.
- Intermediate graphic design experience using Canva or similar design programs.
- Knowledge and experience with Salesforce or other CRM databases is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience with WordPress is a plus.
- Interest in education, history, arts and humanities is a plus.
