About the role

  • Learn and contribute to building and maintaining the company data platform
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using AWS Database Migration Service
  • Develop custom pipelines in Python using the Meltano framework
  • Participate in developing data transformations using dbt
  • Manage resources across Snowflake and AWS environments using Terraform
  • Implement data validation checks, write tests and update documentation
  • Monitor, debug and improve data platform performance with Datadog
  • Collaborate with squad to deliver work in small, valuable increments using agile practices

Requirements

  • Looking for a role where you can learn about engineering practices and modern data infrastructure
  • Curious about programming and eager to develop technical skills
  • Familiar with SQL or interested in working with databases
  • Excited about problem-solving and enjoy logical, collaborative approaches
  • Keen to work in a kind, inclusive, and supportive environment
  • Experience using Python, especially for working with data and automation tasks (preferred)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) (preferred)
  • Exposure to cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake (preferred)
  • Experience with version control tools like git (preferred)
  • Experience working on an e-commerce site or in a fast-growing consumer-facing company (preferred)
