About the role

  • Drive the design, architecture, and development of software solutions across multiple projects
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers across multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery
  • Oversee all aspects of the SDLC: design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Provide technical leadership in software architecture, design, and coding standards
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business goals
  • Drive technical decision-making, conduct code reviews, and lead performance optimization initiatives
  • Ensure best practices in development processes, including agile methodologies, version control, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and risks; communicate progress and issues to stakeholders
  • Integrate various data sources and APIs and optimize databases for performance and scalability
  • Utilize cloud platforms, particularly AWS, to architect and deploy high-availability, high-performance solutions

Requirements

  • At least 8 years experience as a Sr. PHP Dev Lead
  • Proven experience as a Technical Lead, managing teams of 3 or more developers across multiple projects
  • Expertise in Node.js, including server-side development, API integration, and performance optimization
  • Extensive AWS experience, including services like Lambda, S3, and RDS
  • Strong background in Laravel and related technologies
  • Solid understanding of MVC design patterns, application architecture, and best practices
  • Extensive experience in software design and architecture, creating scalable and efficient solutions
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
  • Experience with Git source control, GitHub, and the Gitflow workflow
  • Familiarity with webhooks, MySQL, and relational database design/administration
  • Comprehensive understanding of SDLC and agile development methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in oral and written English
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage development teams while remaining hands-on
  • Preference for candidates based on the East Coast, especially Greater Boston or Chicago areas
  • Bonus Qualifications: Knowledge of blockchain design principles and prior travel industry experience
