Technical Program Manager

• Drive cross-functional program management for hardware assembly across mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Manage the development and deployment of assembly fixtures, SOPs, line layouts, and production equipment—including automation and AOI—to ensure they meet engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate with design engineering to define fixture specifications, validation criteria, and readiness for production use.
• Oversee fixture fabrication, bring-up, and iterative improvements based on factory build feedback.
• Support the Hardware Product Design team to plan and execute design and manufacturing process experiments.
• Track progress against program milestones, identify risks early, and lead the development of mitigation plans.
• Coordinate activities across NPI and factory operations teams to ensure seamless technical and manufacturing execution.
• Facilitate communication between engineering and operations teams to drive efficient issue resolution.
• Lead post-mortems and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance future hardware builds and manufacturing strategies.
• Actively support engineering builds in the factory, assisting directly with assembly, fixture operation, data collection, and issue reproduction.
• Perform real-time root-cause analysis on mechanical, electrical, and process issues directly at the factory.
• Participate in factory bring-up activities, including line readiness checks, equipment calibration, and process validation.
• Tune assembly parameters, test limits, and tooling configurations in collaboration with manufacturing engineers.
• Work closely with line operators and technicians to gather feedback, identify pain points, and implement process improvements.
• Execute hands-on experiments on the production line, including DOEs, process trials, and characterization builds.
• Collect on-line production data and analyze results to drive engineering decisions.
• Participate directly in bring-up, debugging, and maintenance coordination for automation, test stations, and AOI systems.
• Collaborate with equipment vendors during installation and troubleshooting.
• Perform physical teardowns, support failure analysis, and prepare reliability samples directly in the factory.
• Validate inspection criteria and refine quality gates with real units.

Hardware Assembly Technical Program Manager

General Counsel

• Be the go-to regulatory advisor on all things virtual currency
• Guide product teams on how to launch and scale offerings in compliant and creative ways
• Help navigate federal and state regulatory frameworks (FinCEN, CFPB, NYDFS, CA DFPI and more)
• Represent Block in regulatory discussions, exams, and industry forums
• Advise on licensing and registration for money services businesses and virtual currency matters (bitcoin, stablecoin, USDC, the Lightning Network, solana)
• Collaborate with Compliance and Engineering to build/enhance controls that meet regulatory expectations while remaining user-friendly and scalable
• Track legislation, regulatory guidance, and enforcement trends and translate them into actionable insights for the business
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with crypto and payments partners
• Train and empower teams across the company with knowledge on digital asset laws and regulatory strategy

• The team is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who has experience designing complex electronic systems. The primary focus for this role will be electrical design for Block hardware products, including schematic capture, working closely with PCB designers, board-level bringup/validation, and supporting manufacturing of the product. Experience with high density interconnect PCB design.
• Qualifications
• You will:
• Design circuits and electrical systems for Block's hardware products
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and factory test engineers, developing cohesive, elegant solutions
• Travel 10~20% to support manufacturing
• You have:
• 6+ years experience as an electrical engineer in embedded systems
• Experience designing and shipping products
• Expertise in the hardware lab with test, measurement, and prototyping
• Expertise in developing schematics and leading PCB layout activities
• Familiar with interfaces such as SPI, USB, I2C, RS232, etc.
• Hands-on experience designing for EMC and debugging associated issues
• Experience with power management and power optimization
• Extensive on-site factory experience with contract manufacturers
• BS in electrical engineering or related field
• Experience with electrical simulation (i.e. SPICE, electro-magnetic, etc.)
• Familiarity with Altium Designer
• Experience in board-level analog design
• Experience programming and debugging microcontrollers
• Understanding of near-field and RF design fundamentals (i.e. NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc)
• Experience with audio design
• Experience writing embedded firmware in C
• Ability to automate lab instruments with Python
• Experience using AI for Hardware workflows
