About the role
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT controls in accordance with SOX requirements for Shared Platforms
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of IT processes and systems to ensure SOX compliance
- Identify, document, and address deficiencies or gaps in IT controls
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT controls, processes, and procedures
- Generate regular compliance reports for management and external auditors
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate SOX compliance audits
- Identify and assess IT related risks that could impact financial reporting for Shared Platforms
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies with established teams
- Monitor and track remediation of identified risks and deficiencies
- Provide training and guidance to IT and business teams on SOX compliance requirements
- Serve as a subject matter expert on SOX compliance for IT-related matters
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of IT controls
- Participate in development and enhancement of compliance tools and systems
- Act as bridge between Tech and Internal Audit teams to maintain and enhance internal controls
Requirements
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements for IT
- Ability to develop, implement, and maintain IT controls
- Experience conducting assessments and audits of IT processes and systems
- Ability to identify, document, and address deficiencies/gaps in IT controls
- Experience preparing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of IT controls, processes, and procedures
- Ability to generate compliance reports for management and external auditors
- Experience collaborating with internal and external auditors to facilitate SOX compliance audits
- Ability to identify and assess IT related risks impacting financial reporting
- Experience developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and tracking remediation
- Ability to provide training and guidance to IT and business teams on SOX compliance
- Subject matter expertise in IT-related SOX compliance
- Ability to stay current with SOX regulations and best practices for IT compliance
