About the role
- Develop best-in-class strategy, deliverables, treatments, scripts, and creative materials for video, social, brand, and UGC-driven campaigns.
- Guide art direction and copywriting, leading teams of copywriters, designers, editors, and artists through the concepting through post-production process.
- Build and manage creator teams for social-first and UGC content, including casting, briefing, onboarding, and creative oversight.
- Oversee and manage creators and creatives on programmatic social projects, ensuring creative fidelity with briefs and brand guidelines, delivering day-to-day direction and feedback, and ensuring timely, high quality execution.
- Participate in (and often lead) meetings with clients and creative brainstorms, developing original ideas and pitches, and receiving feedback.
- Develop scalable content production systems designed for high-volume outputs (e.g., 10–60+ assets per month).
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, delivering on schedule, and proactively seeking feedback.
- Maintain a creator roster/database (internal + external) to meet ongoing campaign needs.
- Craft compelling scripts, copy, captions, and social-first narratives across formats (TikTok, Reels, Shorts, branded content, commercials) and for non-social content as needed.
- Provide creative direction and client management on set or during virtual productions when necessary, ensuring creative continuity and facilitating communication between departments.
- Manage deadlines, QCing creator and in-house content, delivering projects and materials on time, accurately, and at Blink’s standards.
- Continuously stay updated with emerging social, video, design, AI, and copy trends and tools to create cutting edge creative.
- Deliver best-in-class videos, treatments, copy, and visual elements that lead to client retention and satisfaction.
- When assigned a client or project, pitch multiple approaches and concepts, considering opportunities for additional deliverables.
- Elevate Blink’s social content, visual identity, and voice to gain recognition in the industry through communications, marketing, and brand identity.
- Partner with internal and external teams to align creative outputs with technical and campaign objectives.
- Lead team meetings and serve as a point for the team in client meetings, teaching junior creatives through example.
- Collaborate with designers to develop animations and visual elements on motion graphics, animations, lower-thirds, title cards, and other elements across projects.
- Collaborate closely with producers and cross-functional teams across pre-production, production, and post-production to deliver cohesive, impactful creative assets.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with the Creative team and producers for projects and pitches.
- Work closely with post-production teams, internally and externally, to achieve the vision of our client work. This involves collaborating with the Creative team, editors, colorists, sound designers, VFX artists, motion graphics designers, and animators.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience working as an ACD, CD, or managing social content, as a copywriter and/or visual designer within an agency, studio, media company, or brand, with a solid understanding of project workflows and team collaboration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as the majority of our clients are U.S.-based and this is a client-facing role.
- Proficiency in Google Slides and Figma.
- Proficiency in TikTok, Instagram, BlueSky, Twitter, Substack, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
- Proficiency in LLMs, including ChatGPT and Claude.
- Proficiency in generative AI platforms, such as Nano Banana and Midjourney.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suit is a plus.
- Experience writing and concepting for all aspects of a production company, including brand assets, decks, and video.
- Strong understanding of branding guidelines adherence across campaigns and assets.
- Strong understanding of social media best practices and strategies to optimize engagement.
- Adaptable to small-teams and fast moving projects that shift throughout their lifecycle.
