About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and operate enterprise backup solutions aligned with industry best practices (e.g. 3‑2‑1 / 3‑2‑1‑1‑0).
Administer backup platforms including policies, scheduling, retention, and lifecycle management.
Implement secure and resilient backup architectures, including immutable and isolated backup copies.
Perform and support restore operations, recovery testing, and incident response activities.
Monitor backup operations, resolve failures, and optimize performance and capacity.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
Participate in backup‑related projects, solution evaluations, and vendor interactions.
Act as a senior technical escalation point and provide guidance to junior team members.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience in enterprise backup and recovery administration.
Strong understanding of backup architectures, restore operations, and cyber‑resilience concepts.
Experience supporting virtualized, database, and file‑based environments.
Solid operational mindset with strong troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work effectively in regulated, mission‑critical environments.
Best Knowledge Dell Power Protect and DataDomain.
Nice to have knowledge IBM Spectrum Protect and Protect Plus.
