About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership of project controls personnel assigned to a project management team
  • Ensure Blattner project controls processes and deliverables are efficiently executed and delivered to the project team
  • Analyze project data and recommend process improvements to the Director - Portfolio and Project Controls and project management teams
  • Oversee the assigned project controls team and third-party consultants
  • Provide performance evaluation, time approval, recruitment, and mentorship to the project controls team
  • Develop, control, and analyze Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules and schedule risk analysis
  • Manage risk management and management of change
  • Manage project schedulers’ workload and ensure timely delivery of schedules, cost forecasts, risk registers and analyses, dashboards, S-curves, and histograms
  • Conduct strategic analysis of project data to drive management and decision making
  • Provide concise actionable recommendations to meet project objectives
  • Ensure project controls contractual obligations to clients are met
  • Advise project management on evaluation, creation, and execution of contracts and change management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education or relevant experience required
  • Five or more years progressive experience in a construction project controls discipline including project scheduling, project cost, or project risk analysis or a combination of these experiences
  • 3-5 years previous experience leading senior level individual contributors required
  • Subject Matter Expertise with Primavera P6
  • 50% travel if remote, or 25% travel if willing to relocate to Minnesota
  • Renewable experience highly preferred
  • Experience with cost software and/or JD Edwards
