About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead JioBLAST’s IP development and publisher relations function, including management of a small team.
  • Identify, shape and develop new esports and competitive entertainment IP concepts that are relevant to publishers, players, fans and the Indian gaming market.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with game publishers, platforms and gaming ecosystem partners.
  • Understand publisher and partner objectives, then translate them into flexible commercial models, partnership structures and IP propositions.
  • Create clean, clear and insightful proposal materials, including concept notes, pitch decks, commercial models, partnership structures and internal recommendation documents.
  • Build and maintain a disciplined pipeline of IP and publisher opportunities, ensuring clear prioritisation, next steps, follow-ups and internal visibility.
  • Work closely with leadership to assess market opportunities, prioritise target publishers / games, and define the commercial and strategic rationale for new IPs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, production, operations, finance and leadership teams to ensure new IPs are commercially viable, operationally deliverable and strategically aligned.
  • Manage and guide a small team, ensuring clear priorities, strong follow-through, high-quality output and accountability.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of esports, gaming, publisher priorities, player communities, tournament formats, content trends and youth entertainment in India and globally.
  • Provide clear updates to senior leadership on opportunity status, priorities, blockers, risks and commercial outlook.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in esports, gaming, IP development, sports, media, or entertainment.
  • Strong esports / gaming sector knowledge is required, either through direct professional experience or significant demonstrated understanding of the ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to create, shape or commercialise IPs.
  • Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to build flexible partnership models rather than relying on fixed packages or standardised sales materials.
  • Excellent consultative sales skills, including the ability to understand partner objectives and translate them into compelling IP concepts and commercial propositions.
  • Strong ability to create clean, clear and insightful proposal materials for senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisation and execution discipline, with the ability to manage multiple live opportunities, priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience managing or guiding a small team.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
