About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead federal financial reporting activities
- Manage contract performance
- Serve as a key liaison between government stakeholders, auditors, and program leadership
- Oversee reporting cycles and ensure compliance with federal financial requirements
- Deliver high-quality, audit-ready financial reporting packages
- Manage staffing, work assignments, schedules, deliverables, risks, meeting cadence, and overall contract performance
- Lead or review federal financial statements, footnotes, trial balances, and financial reporting packages
- Coordinate responses to audit inquiries and auditor follow-up activities
- Identify reporting, audit, compliance, and operational risks and drive corrective actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience supporting federal financial reporting, financial statement preparation, Treasury reporting, GTAS submissions, and audit readiness.
- 5+ years of experience applying OMB Circular A-136, USSGL, FASAB standards, and federal accounting principles.
- 5+ years of experience leading federal financial management teams, audit support activities, quality control reviews, client engagements, and executive communications.
