About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery for one or more significant product areas within Blackthorn's suite
- Define and prioritize outcomes, not just features, by deeply understanding customer needs, market trends, and business goals
- Develop and maintain a well-reasoned, clearly communicated product roadmap aligned with company priorities
- Lead cross-functional squads through discovery, definition, and delivery of complex product initiatives
- Write clear, thorough product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that set engineering and QA up for success
- Drive Engineering team alignment and ensure your team is focused, unblocked, and moving toward meaningful outcomes
- Own the squad’s delivery cadence, stay close to the work, track commitments, and actively remove blockers before they compound
- Work fluently in Blackthorn’s AI-first development environment, using AI tooling to accelerate discovery, documentation, and delivery
- Use product analytics and qualitative research to validate decisions and continuously improve shipped product
- Act as the primary product voice for your domain in conversations with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Customer Success
- Lead customer discovery interviews and synthesize insights into actionable product direction
- Communicate confidently with senior leadership on roadmap, tradeoffs, and progress
- Represent Blackthorn's product perspective with external partners and customers as needed
- Champion AI tooling and experimentation to improve both internal workflows and customer-facing experiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid experience as a Product Manager in a SaaS product environment, with a track record of owning and delivering complex product areas
- Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to drive execution through cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable presenting to executives and engaging with customers
- Experience using product analytics to inform decisions and measure outcomes
- Enthusiasm and fluency for AI and a proactive approach to finding ways it can improve products and processes
- Proven ability to maintain high delivery velocity within a dedicated squad in an iterative, AI-assisted engineering environment
