About the role
- Manage and administer all aspects of system infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and system tools.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and security.
- Implement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
- Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve user issues and implement new solutions.
- Document system configurations and changes to maintain accurate records.
- Research and recommend new technologies to improve the infrastructure.
- Provide training and support to users on system-related issues and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in system administration or a related role.
- Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, services, and hardware.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, MCSE, Linux Professional Institute) are a bonus.
