About the role

  • Manage and administer all aspects of system infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
  • Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and system tools.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and security.
  • Implement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve user issues and implement new solutions.
  • Document system configurations and changes to maintain accurate records.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to improve the infrastructure.
  • Provide training and support to users on system-related issues and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in system administration or a related role.
  • Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, services, and hardware.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, MCSE, Linux Professional Institute) are a bonus.
