About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the end-to-end SEO strategy across all client accounts
  • Develop and implement scalable frameworks across:
  • - Technical SEO
  • - On-page optimization
  • - Content strategy
  • - Authority building / link acquisition
  • Ensure all strategies are aligned to business outcomes (traffic, conversions, revenue)
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency
  • Lead and manage a distributed SEO team, including:
  • - SEO Specialists
  • - Content Writers
  • - Link Building resources
  • Set clear KPIs and performance expectations across the team
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and development
  • Identify hiring needs and support team growth as the function scales
  • Establish and enforce quality standards across all SEO deliverables
  • Review outputs to ensure they are client-ready and strategically sound
  • Eliminate low-quality or templated work and elevate overall output quality
  • Standardize processes and workflows across accounts
  • Participate in key client calls and strategic discussions
  • Translate SEO performance into clear business insights
  • Partner with Account Managers to support retention and growth
  • Act as the senior SEO voice within the organization
  • Build and refine SOPs for core SEO activities
  • Improve reporting frameworks and performance tracking
  • Introduce tools, automation, and best practices to enhance delivery
  • Ensure consistent execution across all accounts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in SEO
  • 2+ years in a leadership or team management role
  • Proven experience managing multiple client accounts (agency experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • - Technical SEO
  • - Content strategy and optimization
  • - Keyword research and search intent
  • - Link building strategies
  • Ability to develop and execute high-level SEO strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams (4+ people preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Comfortable in client-facing environments and executive-level discussions
  • Ability to simplify complex SEO concepts into clear, actionable insights.
