About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the end-to-end SEO strategy across all client accounts
- Develop and implement scalable frameworks across:
- - Technical SEO
- - On-page optimization
- - Content strategy
- - Authority building / link acquisition
- Ensure all strategies are aligned to business outcomes (traffic, conversions, revenue)
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency
- Lead and manage a distributed SEO team, including:
- - SEO Specialists
- - Content Writers
- - Link Building resources
- Set clear KPIs and performance expectations across the team
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and development
- Identify hiring needs and support team growth as the function scales
- Establish and enforce quality standards across all SEO deliverables
- Review outputs to ensure they are client-ready and strategically sound
- Eliminate low-quality or templated work and elevate overall output quality
- Standardize processes and workflows across accounts
- Participate in key client calls and strategic discussions
- Translate SEO performance into clear business insights
- Partner with Account Managers to support retention and growth
- Act as the senior SEO voice within the organization
- Build and refine SOPs for core SEO activities
- Improve reporting frameworks and performance tracking
- Introduce tools, automation, and best practices to enhance delivery
- Ensure consistent execution across all accounts
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in SEO
- 2+ years in a leadership or team management role
- Proven experience managing multiple client accounts (agency experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of:
- - Technical SEO
- - Content strategy and optimization
- - Keyword research and search intent
- - Link building strategies
- Ability to develop and execute high-level SEO strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams (4+ people preferred)
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Comfortable in client-facing environments and executive-level discussions
- Ability to simplify complex SEO concepts into clear, actionable insights.
