Develop and maintain plans for imagery/analytics acquisition to support a variety of use cases.
Use tools including ArcGIS Pro and QGIS to process raster/vector data, conduct analysis, and generate products using BlackSky imagery/analytics and other data sources.
Support customer programs by conducting QA/QC on analytic outputs, generating use case examples, and producing finished products or reports.
Research locations, state and non-state actors, equipment (aircraft/vessels/vehicles), activity trends, effects of natural disasters, and other elements related to global current events.
Share knowledge and techniques with teammates.
Other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Demonstrated research and communication skills.
Previous professional or advanced academic experience working with GIS data (vector/raster) and satellite imagery. Key areas include image processing, imagery annotation, raster analysis/visualization, 3D visualization, georeferencing, vector dataset generation/manipulation, metadata validation, and data cleaning.
Facility with imagery and GIS tools including but not limited to Esri software, SOCET GXP, and QGIS.
Experience writing Python scripts to generate insights from data, interact with APIs, and/or run geospatial processes.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in a relevant role.
At least six (6) months of relevant professional experience (including any relevant internships).
