About the role

  • Create relationships with clients in the Atlanta/Gwinnett County area and act as liaison between local design team, client and remote design teams.
  • Manage and coordinate automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities.
  • Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects as well as coordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects.
  • Provide local interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues.
  • Monitor and control project schedule and budgets and assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities.
  • Support multiple Water and Wastewater engineering projects with advanced engineering solutions and technical challenges.

  • The Instrumentation & Control department is a global team specializing in instrumentation, control systems, wireless communications, networks, and cybersecurity for all BV Market Sectors and Solutions. Our team provides a full range of services including consulting, master planning, assessments, conceptual design, detailed design, EPC, design-build, construction support, field services, testing, commissioning, resident engineering, staff augmentation, training, on-call services, and system implementation, configuration, and programing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program in home country or practicing country.
  • Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Georgia.
  • 10 years’ experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting.
  • 7 years’ experience in water/wastewater industry.
  • 5 years’ experience in project management and business development.
  • Experience with control system component selection and application for distributed control or SCADA systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley PLC, Modicon Schneider Electric, Emerson Ovation, ABB 800xA).
  • Experience with P&ID, instrument device schedules, I/O lists, instrument installation details, loop diagrams, control narratives and technical specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership and team management abilities.
