Office Manager
Black & VeatchOffice Manager responsible for coordinating administrative duties at project site for Black & Veatch. Supervision of staff and liaison between site and home office including accounting and HR tasks.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for coordinating a wide variety of administrative duties and tasks to ensure smooth project site office operations
- Acts as main administrative liaison between site office and home office administrator
- Performs and/or oversees activities relating to accounting, timesheets, human resources, equipment and supplies
- Addresses craft payroll issues for projects
- Supervises administrative support functions and staff as needed
- Provides guidance regarding the disciplinary process
- Supervises all field accounts payable (AP) duties
- Maintains office equipment
- Serves as project site's IT liaison for office equipment and connecting lines
- Coordinates craft recruitment and terminations
- Processes new hire craft paperwork and enters data into the human resource information system
- Coordinates weekly craft payroll with home office payroll staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Human Resources and PeopleSoft experience preferred
- Some supervisory experience preferred
- 3+ years relevant experience required
- Some related open shop and/or union experience required
- Some Direct Hire experience required for Direct Hire assignments
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (e.g. criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search) in compliance with laws and regulations.
