About the role
- Work closely with engineering teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to meet project commitments
- Track schedules, deliverables, and action items, proactively identifying and escalating risks and issues
- Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through
- Operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where processes and structures continue to evolve
- Own delivery of assigned distribution projects, portfolios, or programs with accountability for scope, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients, building strong, long-term partnerships
- Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, Project Coordinators, and Associate Project Managers
- Provide leadership across multiple projects or workstreams, including potential mentoring and oversight of other project managers
- Partner closely with distribution engineering and grid leadership on resource planning, delivery strategy, and execution
- Support proposal efforts, planning activities, and strategic client engagements as appropriate for experience level
- Operate as a hands-on leader in a fast-paced, growth environment supporting both services-based and large-scale EPC or program work
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive project management experience in electrical distribution engineering
- Experience supporting or managing utility, distribution engineering, EPC, or infrastructure-related projects
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and deliver results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Demonstrated experience building and sustaining long-term client relationships and obtaining repeat work
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering and technical staff
- Experience leading client-facing projects, portfolios, or programs
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to changing priorities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
