About the role
- Support hydrologic and hydraulic planning, modeling, and design of stormwater and wet weather improvements, including open channels, storm sewer systems, stormwater detention/retention facilities, dams, levees, and reservoirs.
- Support water supply planning that provides long-term resilient supplies and mitigates climate change, regulatory uncertainty, aging infrastructure, and population growth/demand changes.
- Support planning and design of green infrastructure, low impact development, and sustainable watershed measures, including structural BMPs.
- Support erosion and sediment control planning and design, including SWPPP development.
- Interface with innovative stormwater, water quality, and planning partners to leverage new technologies and approaches for the benefit of our clients.
- Support client-facing and business development efforts
Requirements
- 1+ year related work experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program
- Engineer-in-Training Certificate (or ability to acquire the same)
- CFM (preferred)
- 2-5 years of water resources planning, stormwater design, dam safety, and/or condition assessment experience (preferred)
- Experience developing and executing water resource planning and design projects (preferred)
- Proficiency with MS Teams, WebEx, Zoom
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
- Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS or QGIS
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Proficiency with HEC-RAS
- Proficiency with HEC-HMS
- Proficiency with EPA/XP-SWMM
- Proficiency with InfoWorks
- Proficiency with StormWise (formerly ICPR)
- Capable of conducting site reconnaissance and remote investigations
- Experience with regulatory requirements and procedures (FEMA, USACE, and EPA) (preferred)
- Support client-facing and business development efforts
