About the role
- Lead the delivery of design-only, design-build, and construction only projects in Electrical Engineering deliverables for Data Centers
- Provide subject matter expertise in the area of Data Center design
- Train and develop early career and/or inexperienced professionals
- Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers
- Support business development, including developing scope-of-work, level-of-effort, and site visits to understand project scope
- Prepare complex engineering calculations and manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements
- Proactively provide guidance on department design guides and applicable engineering codes
- Manage and mentor lower level and mid-level professionals and identify successors to train in specifics of their roles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized accredited program or equivalent experience in engineering work
- Minimum of 11 years related work experience
- Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects, specifically a U.S. Professional Engineer License is preferred
- Previous Project Lead experience in Data Center Designs
- Strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit and experience utilizing BIM 360, Navisworks, and Revit work sets
- Demonstrated understanding of design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency
- Familiarity with Data Center tier rating systems
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
- Strong professional communication skills to engage in client-facing activities.
