About the role
- Play a meaningful role in addressing critical water infrastructure challenges
- Contribute to diverse, impactful projects
- Develop familiarity with departmental design guides, standards, and engineering codes
- Prepare engineering deliverables like drawings, reports, and specifications
- Perform routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
- Collect, assimilate, and manage data for engineering work
- Prepare basic engineering calculations following standard methods
- Coordinate with others when directed by supervisor or project leadership
- Focus on the needs of internal clients while attempting to understand external client's interests
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil engineering
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
- Prior water internship or water coursework preferred
- Basic knowledge of engineering design principles
- Basic industry knowledge and technology trends
- Understanding of budget, schedule, and quality requirements
