About the role

  • Functions as technical specialist, or has management and/or administrative responsibilities for a group
  • May supervise multi-discipline engineering staff on projects of medium to high complexity
  • Proactively provides guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems
  • Assists in developing, maintaining, and updating engineering standards
  • Independently applies knowledge and ensures compliance with quality program
  • Prepares a variety of complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects
  • Develops and applies advanced engineering solutions to complex problems
  • Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members on complex projects

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program
  • Minimum of 11 years related work experience
  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering – RPEV OR RPEQ
  • Minimum of 15 years related work experience in Water & Wastewater Treatment
  • Demonstrated mechanical design experience in water and/or wastewater projects
  • Knowledge of applicable design codes, standards and guidelines
  • Experience delivering multi-disciplinary solutions and leading technical teams
