About the role
- Help address some of the world's most pressing infrastructure challenges
- Work on a wide range of projects to meet clients' needs
- Assigned to a functional area in Substation
- Contribute to the preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope
- Perform routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
- Collect, assimilate, and manage data for engineering work
- Prepare basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles
- Coordinate with others when directed by supervisor or project leadership
- Focus on the needs of internal clients while attempting to gain basic understanding of external clients' interests
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must have less than 2 years of professional engineering or construction experience (internships do not count toward years of experience)
- Coursework and knowledge of Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations preferred
- Basic knowledge of engineering design principles, design guides and standards
- Understanding of budget, schedule, and quality requirements
- Skilled in Problem Solving, Written Communication, Informing, and Peer Relationships
