About the role

  • Help address some of the world's most pressing infrastructure challenges
  • Work on a wide range of projects to meet clients' needs
  • Assigned to a functional area in Substation
  • Contribute to the preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope
  • Perform routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
  • Collect, assimilate, and manage data for engineering work
  • Prepare basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles
  • Coordinate with others when directed by supervisor or project leadership
  • Focus on the needs of internal clients while attempting to gain basic understanding of external clients' interests

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must have less than 2 years of professional engineering or construction experience (internships do not count toward years of experience)
  • Coursework and knowledge of Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations preferred
  • Basic knowledge of engineering design principles, design guides and standards
  • Understanding of budget, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Skilled in Problem Solving, Written Communication, Informing, and Peer Relationships
