About the role
- Function as a Subject Matter Specialist for pumping systems related to the design of mechanical systems supporting Water & Wastewater Treatment processes
- Contribute to projects related to Water and Wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and conveyance focused in Florida, as well as throughout the US
- Work collaboratively with various design engineering execution teams across the US and abroad with an emphasis on work in Florida
- Leverage technical expertise with leadership responsibilities by guiding design teams and mentoring early career professionals
- Engage directly with clients across Florida
- Opportunity to learn from specialized and highly experienced staff
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with developing detailed design and technical specifications for pumps and piping systems
- Strong candidates are expected to have knowledge and experience related to the design, specification, and related engineering tasks associated with pumping systems and plant hydraulics
- Candidates that also have knowledge related to blowers and aeration systems, anaerobic digestion, heating water boilers, heat exchangers, and steel piping systems may also be beneficial
- Experience in material and component selection for pumping and piping systems
- Experience with identifying optimal pump sizing and selection for pump station facilities
- Experience with defining pump station operational control strategies/plans
- Strong understanding of hydraulic principles
- Proven ability to communicate complex information effectively through written documentation and verbal presentations
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
