Key responsibilities & impact

Managing and training staff by providing clear direction
Managing and nurturing chapters by identifying and inspiring a cohort of Hive/chapter members and leaders
Implementing long-term, strategic plans and processes to recruit, organize, develop, and retain a strong and engaged base of well-informed, politicized Black feminist organizers
Identifying and cultivating leaders within the general membership body and Hives/chapters
Assisting chapters in organizing BFF campaign strategies
Developing systems for tracking chapter members and leadership
Managing BFF's Membership Program and Membership Operations
Provide guidance to the BFF Communications Department

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working with community, grassroots, or labor organizations
Similar level of experience supervising staff, volunteers and community organizers
Must have well developed socio-emotional intelligence and communication skills
Must display strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Commitment to racial, gender and economic justice and their intersections with a global and internationalist lens.
