About the role
- Drive creation of exceptional and intuitive user experiences through UX and UI design; oversee entire design process from concept to delivery.
- Own PIXAR design system to ensure product consistency, scalability, responsiveness to feedback and emerging design trends.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor product designers; provide guidance on design methodologies and best practices.
- Maintain a hands-on approach and contribute to key design challenges and design work while leading.
- Define and articulate a compelling design vision aligned with product and business strategy.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Growth; foster open communication and collaboration.
- Advocate for the user within the company, ensuring design solutions align with strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role within product design, preferably in the online travel, e-commerce, or marketplace industry.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating successful design solutions and strategy implementation.
- Expertise in UX/UI design, research methodologies and dedication to the craft; hands-on contribution to design work.
- Deep understanding of design systems and their implementation for product consistency and scalability.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, building, inspiring, and mentoring product design teams.
- Ability to define design strategy and translate complex business goals and user needs into design solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills; experience with cross-functional teams in agile environments.
- Solid understanding of how design translates into development, ensuring feasibility and efficient implementation.
- Full working proficiency in English.
