About the role

  • Identify and build relationships with relevant media outlets, social channels, podcasts, tech press, and mainstream media in China
  • Proactively pitch story angles and secure interviews, features, and media placements
  • Draft and edit press materials including media pitches, briefing notes, and background documents
  • Coordinate media engagements end-to-end, including scheduling, preparation materials, and follow-ups
  • Maintain clear and consistent messaging across external communications
  • Track media coverage and maintain structured records of outreach and placements
  • Monitor media trends and identify relevant exposure opportunities

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in media relations, PR, communications, or related fields
  • Proven experience securing media placements in China
  • Strong understanding of China’s digital and traditional media landscape
  • Strong writing skills in Chinese; working proficiency in English
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical topics clearly
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined in follow-through
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
