About the role

  • Perform Trading Partner eliminations for intragovernmental balances and activity across DoD financial systems
  • Analyze and resolve TP mismatches related to USSGL accounts, reciprocal categories, and reporting attributes
  • Support both classified and unclassified financial reporting environments, ensuring consistent elimination logic
  • Independently manage workload across multiple projects, customers, and financial systems
  • Investigate root causes of TP imbalances, including posting logic, data quality, and timing issues
  • Coordinate with accounting, reporting, and system teams to remediate elimination discrepancies
  • Support quarterly and annual financial statement close activities related to TP eliminations
  • Document elimination methodologies, assumptions, and resolutions to support audit readiness
  • Provide advisory support to government stakeholders on TP elimination best practices

Requirements

  • Extensive experience performing Trading Partner (TP) eliminations in a federal or DoD financial environment
  • Strong expertise in USSGL, intragovernmental transactions, and elimination rules
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently across multiple projects and environments
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex reconciliation issues
  • Clear, professional communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Prior DoD financial management and reporting consulting experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with federal financial statements and intragovernmental elimination requirements (preferred)
  • Experience supporting audit readiness or remediation related to trading partner balances (preferred)
