About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain features across Access Intelligence, event integrations, the browser extension’s phishing blocker, the shared Rust core library, and the Bitwarden Splunk app
- Partner with QA to ensure appropriate application testing and complete tests
- Design and evolve APIs, data models, and encrypted report structures for enterprise-scale data
- Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Collaborate with the Bitwarden open-source community on contributions and GitHub issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience with .NET Core and C# for backend services
- Strong proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS for front-end development
- Deep understanding of relational database design, optimization, and SQL Server
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement RESTful APIs
- Experience building enterprise features where auditability, permissions, and compliance matter
- Collaborative and adaptable mindset with excellent communication skills
- Excitement for open source and better internet security
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be located in the U.S.
- Visa sponsorship is not offered at this time
- Nice-to-have: Bitwarden user, startup experience, open source experience, Rust, Python, Splunk or another SIEM platform, zero-knowledge or client-side-encrypted systems, browser extension development, and generative AI coding platforms
