About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain core front-end cross-cutting areas of Bitwarden’s codebase
- Implement and maintain a shared design system and UI component library for web, desktop, and browser extension clients
- Support teams in identifying and executing componentization and reusability opportunities
- Provide tooling and design documentation to enable team success
- Become an expert and authority on the platform front-end codebase and design system component library
- Lead development of fully accessible components and update components for new features
- Document component usage clearly for consumers
- Collaborate with designers to implement the design system
- Guide teams on componentization, reuse, and front-end best practices
- Participate in code reviews and mentor others
- Contribute bug fixes submitted by the user community
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated expertise building Angular web applications
- Demonstrated expertise building reusable libraries with robust APIs from a unified design system perspective
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with designers and implementing specifications from Figma or similar tools
- Demonstrated experience with WCAG and implementing accessible experiences
- Experience with Tailwind CSS for component styling
- Experience writing developer-facing usage documentation
- Experience with Storybook or another component modeling toolset
- Collaborative and adaptable mindset
- Openness, authenticity, and excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm for open source and better internet security
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be located in the United States
