Accountant

• Be responsible for the daily operations of the Financial systems for Bitstamp Group operational entities, ensuring the integrity of financial records.
• Coordinate and oversee the monthly closing process (financial closing process for regular reporting), including the substantiation and reconciliation of key figures with the Bitstamp Core system and the General Ledger Trial Balance, while continuously improving the closing quality and timeline.
• Develop and automate accounting processes, implementing controls for new accounting schemas.
• Participate in the development of accounting processes and internal controls, and document policies, procedures, and workflows for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Work closely with the General Ledger and Financial Reporting teams, supporting the preparation of management reports and regulatory returns.
• Contribute to external and internal audit processes.
• Monitor compliance with accepted accounting principles and other statutory requirements in the jurisdictions relevant to your areas of responsibility.

General Counsel

• Serve as regulatory counsel with a focus on financial and crypto regulation in the European Union (primarily Luxembourg and Slovenia, potentially Lithuania) and other relevant markets (e.g. British Virgin Islands, United Kingdom, Singapore).
• Manage licensing and regulatory communications, including ongoing supervision and regulatory correspondence from Legal perspective.
• Provide strategic legal advice on the design, development, and modification of products and services in response to evolving regulatory landscapes.

• Risk Management: conduct real-time risk management of crypto spot and derivatives products offered by the business. This will include monitoring the operation of the exchange trading platform, and assessing market, liquidity, credit, and concentration risks inherent in the products.
• Trend Analysis: Analyse market trends, price movements, and regulatory developments to assess their impact on the company's risk position, escalating to the appropriate stakeholders as needed back on market changes
• KRI Development: Develop and implement risk metrics and monitoring tools tailored to the spot and derivatives businesses across BbRH entities, clients and trading activity.
• Stress Testing: Perform stress tests on the parameters used to operate the exchange to evaluate its ongoing resilience under adverse market conditions
