Sales and Business Development Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinating and executing sales and marketing activities for North America with focus on System Integrators in automated storage solutions
- With your technical expertise, you will organize sales and manage customer projects from inquiry to order placement and ensure effective communication with partners and the parent company
- You will manage day-to-day sales activities, prepare calculations and quotations, work with the US back office and German headquarters, and manage sales budgets and forecasts
- Gather market intelligence, identify potential, analyze competition and create action plans aligned with company goals
- Participate in global meetings, trade shows and events with regular travel to customers within the US
Requirements
What you’ll need- Commercial education with very good technical understanding or vice versa; additional education as a business administrator/technician or industrial engineering degree is desirable
- At least 5 years of sales experience in the field of warehouse technology / steel construction, especially in an international logistics environment
- Ideally, professional experience with automation in intralogistics
- Experience in key account management is desirable
- Communication skills, an independent and structured way of working, a high level of commitment, results-oriented action, flexibility and a quick grasp of the situation
- Understanding of project management and the use of MS Office applications
- Knowledge of reading and understanding technical drawings
- Very good knowledge of English, other languages desirable
- Willingness to travel domestically and abroad.
